Zeeland flat oysters are the only oysters which originated in the Netherlands. They are round and have a smooth shell. Zeeland flat oysters are an exclusive product: they grow slowly and are only fit for consumption after five years. The Vette family have been cultivating these oysters since 1880. Flat oysters have a sophisticated salty taste.
